On behalf of Quan Am Temple, we would like to invite everyone to join us for a special dharma teaching by Ven. Dhammadipa. As part of his Michigan dharma tour, Ven. Dhammadipa’s public talks will pay attention to ways of dealing mentally with the contemporary economic crisis, which is troubling to so many minds. Venerable’s teaching will focus on developing practical meditation technique of breathing and practical guidance on the way to inner purification and liberation.

About Ven. Dhammadipa
Venerable Dhammadipa was born in Czechoslovakia in 1949 and is a world-renowned meditation master. He is a learned scholar of Buddhism as well as Sanskrit, Pali, and Chinese philosophy.
His understanding of both Theravada and Mahayana is exceptional. He received his traditional Theravada Bhiksu Vinaya in 1987 in Sri Lanka, where he practiced meditation under the guidance of his preceptor, Ven. Nanarama Mahathera. In 1989 he received his Three Fold ordination as Mahayana Monk in Hsi Lai Temple, Los Angeles. Since then he has been providing dharma teaching in US, Germany and Taiwan
